Obituary

Neil C. Carter of Natick died on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was eighty-nine years old.

Born in Lebanon, Missouri, son of the late Joseph & Vernys Carter, he was a 1943 graduate of Lebanon High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served our country proudly during World War II.

Mr. Carter was employed as an Electrical Engineer with Sylvania & GTE for thirty-six years, a Natick resident since 1958, a member of the First Congregational Church of Natick and the Aleppo Shrine of Boston.

Neil enjoyed mountain climbing, was a member of the Appalachian 4000 foot club, jogging in 5 & 10K races, the Mt. Washington Road Race, music and dancing.

He was the devoted husband of Margaret K. (Tower) Carter with whom they shared sixty-two years of marriage. He was the loving father of Ian C. Carter of Natick, Janet K. Blanchard & her husband Nathan of Southboro & Scott C. Carter of Natick. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Huenefeld & her husband Lance of Millville, Alyssa Carter of Natick, Dominic D’Innocenzo of Hudson & Emily Carter of Framingham.

A Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Friday, January 31, 2014 @ Noon. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Interment is private.
