Iris “Lisa” (Valentini) Capasso passed away on January 20, 2014. She was 80 years old.
Iris was born and raised in Italy and has been a resoident of Malden since 1970. She worked as a packer for Viking Seafoods and worked for the Malden Public Schools in the cafeteria.
Iris was the devoted wife of the late Francesco Capasso. She was the beloved mother of Raffaelina Puca and her husband Luigi of Malden, Michael Capasso and his wife Sharon of Somerville and the late Concetta Capobianco. Iris was the cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and also predeceased by 1 grandchild.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday January 24th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Thursday January 23rd from 5-8pm. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Malden.
