Obituary

Elizabeth M. (Kiernan) Griffin, age 95, of Brockton, died January 9, 2014 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Elizabeth was the wife of the late Lawrence M. Griffin. Born, raised and educated in Trenton, NJ, she was the youngest daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Mullen) Kiernan. A 57 year resident of Brockton, Elizabeth had been a waitress at The MerriMac's Restaurant in South Easton and a hostess at Leonard's Restaurant in Brockton. An independent, spirited and family oriented woman, she enjoyed playing Bingo, spending time with her family in Atlantic City, and attending family functions. Elizabeth, an avid Boston sports fan, especially loved the Boston Red Sox.

She is survived by a daughter Jean M. Fowler and her husband Gary of Whitman; two grandchildren Nathan Fowler of Cambridge and Michaela Fowler of Whitman; a beloved niece Mary Manning and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 9-10:30am followed by recitation of the Rosary at 10:45am and funeral service at 11am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
