Devoted and loving father of Susan Murphy and her husband James of Westwood, Joan Moltenbrey and her husband Justin of Canton, and Richard J. Scarry Jr. of Canton. Papa loved spending time with family and adored his 6 grandchildren Mark and Brian Lane, Brendan Murphy, Kevin, Katelyn and Ryan Moltenbrey. Brother of Kenneth J. Scarry of Weymouth. Brother in law of Joseph Shevory and his wife Carol of Dedham, Thomas Shevory of Chatham, Richard Shevory and his wife Barbara of Bourne, Jack Shevory and his wife Sheryl of Walpole. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Son of the late Joseph and Audrey (Meehan) Scarry. Retired circulation manager from the Boston Globe and late member of the Dedham VFW Cribbage League.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Dedham, Monday at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 10AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5PM. Interment in New Westwood Cemetery, Westwood.
