Louis Joseph Rosa, age 86, of Fall River, formerly of Somerset, passed away on November 9, 2013 at Crawford Nursing Center. He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Irene M. (Flores) Rosa and was the son of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Taveira) Rosa. He was an active member of St. John of God Parish and was a Navy Veteran of World War II, serving on the U.S.S. Midway. He enjoyed golfing and playing cards. He was the former co-owner of Taveira Beef in Fall River.
Louis was the loving father of Kathleen Vadeboncoeur (husband Roch) of Somerset, Patricia Minkin (husband Barney) of Lakeville, Louis R Rosa (wife Rose-Marie) of Fall River and Maureen Winters (husband Clifford) of Somerset. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren and 1 niece and 1 nephew. He was predeceased by his siblings Lydia Rosa, Amelia Moreira, Rita Fox and Joseph Rosa.
His memorial mass will be held at St. John of God Church, Somerset on FRIDAY at 9:00 A.M. Internment Gibbs Cemetery in Somerset. Arrangements were under the direction of MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. MAIN ST FALL RIVER. www.rogersfuneral.com.
