Obituary

In Boston, August 15, 2013 Robert K. Larkin, age 81 passed away in Brigham & Women’s Hospital following a brief illness. Robert was born in Taunton, the son of the late Michael J. & Kathryn (Starvish) Larkin. He has resided in Raynham the past eight years and formerly a lifelong resident of Taunton. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the TMLP after over 30 years of employment as a tree surgeon. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus and he enjoyed Quahoging, camping, bowling, playing 45 and spending time with his family. Robert leaves his children Rosemary Sartori and her husband Paul of Raynham, James M. Larkin and his wife Michelle of Chesterfield, N.H., Timothy R. Larkin and his wife Jacqueline of Lakeville and Thomas Larkin of East Taunton. Robert also leaves thirteen grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings Barbara Spencer and her husband Ernie from Georgia, Joan Dawson of Canada, Michael Larkin of East Taunton and the late Eugene Larkin. Robert also leaves his brother in law and best friend Ernie Spencer. Robert also leaves his many friends at the Home Plate Variety Store in East Taunton. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Tuesday, August 20th at 8:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-8 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in Pine Hill Cemetery in East Taunton.
