Mr. Giuseppe Ledonne, age 84 of Medford died Sunday in the Life Care Center Of Stoneham. He is the beloved husband of Maria (Cosco) Ledonne with whom he shared more than 60 years of marriage.
Mr. Ledonne was born in Magisano, Italy, son of the late Gennaro and Grazia (Catizone) Ledonne. He was educated in Italy and came to the U.S. in 1968. In earlier years he had lived in Boston and Somerville. He has been a Medford resident since 1975. .
He worked as a meat cutter in various establishments through the years. He was a talented craftsman and a fine carpenter. He enjoyed working with wood. He was a fan of Western movies, particularly Clint Eastwood movies. Nothing gave him more pride and satisfaction than spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren and great grandson.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Gennaro Ledonne and his wife Rita of Quincy and Antonio Ledonne of Stoneham. Loving grandfather of Luca, Lucia, Annalisa, Anthony Jr, Le Ann and Jillian Ledonne, Great Grandfather of Bryce. Dear brother of Maria Carvello and Sr. Rosa Ledonne of Italy.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, Wednesday at 12:00 noon Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford..
