Mary Jane (Scarpa) Guida of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Winchester Hospital. She was 82 years of age.
Born in Cambridge, Mary was the loving daughter of the late Rosario Scarpa and Catherine (Follo) Scarpa. Mary was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be sadly missed. Mary was a dedicated member of Wakefield Lodge #1734 Order Sons of Italy in America.
Mary was the beloved wife of 57 years to Carmine Guida. She was the devoted mother of Richard, Paul,and Mark, and mother-in-law of Marie, Rachel, and Michael Martinek. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Adriana, Alyssa, Jessica and Dexter. She was the dear sister of Louis Scarpa and his wife Donna and the late Jessie Lyons and her husband Jack. Mary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Mary's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday from 3-7pm Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available.
