William J. “ Buzz” Walsh of Canton died January 27, 2013 in Caritas Norwood Hospital following a long illness. He was 80 years old.
Born in Boston he graduated from Boston Technical High School and Northeastern University class of 1956. Buzz was a retired civil engineer for the Environmental Protection Agency. He was involved with Canton Youth Hockey, The Knights of Columbus Council #2095, and was a parishioner of St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton.
Devoted husband of Ann R. Walsh (Campbell) of Canton. Loving father of Helen A. O’Brien and her husband Edward of Wrentham, William J. Walsh and his wife Janet of Franklin, and Edward T. Walsh and his wife Ann of Canton. Loving brother of Carol Dooley and her husband John of Dedham, Proud grandfather of Sean O’Brien, Michael O’Brien, Colleen Walsh, Alexandra Walsh, and Shayne Walsh.
Visiting hours Wednesday in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday January 31, 2013 in St. Gerard Majella Church 1860 Washington St. Canton at 10 AM. Interment Milton Cemetery.
