Obituary

DANVERS: Warren E. Connolly, 68, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at home with his loving wife, Sandra L. (Hamilton) Connolly by his side. They shared twenty-three years of marriage.
Born in Beverly on January 31, 1944, he was the son of Bessie (Wilcox) Connolly of Beverly and the late William E. Connolly. He was a graduate of Beverly High School and Newbury Junior College. Warren enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Amarillo, Texas from 1962 until he was honorably discharged in 1966. He received recognition as a Small Arms Expert Marksman.
Warren owned his own telecommunication businesses for over thirty years before being sold in 2003. He had also once worked for the New England Telephone Company for many years.
An avid golfer, he was a member of the Thompson Country Club, Ferncroft Country Club and the Beverly Golf & Tennis Club. He started playing golf at the age of 12. He was a life member of the PGA Partners Club as well as a member of Andover Sportsman Club, the Polish Club of Danvers and the Gloucester Lodge of Elks #892. He also enjoyed cross country skiing and hunting.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his devoted daughter, Kim Marie Connolly of Peabody; his six siblings, William Connolly of Beverly, Maureen Dunn and her husband, Alan Zanuccoli of Ipswich, Linda Cholewa and her husband, Peter of Exeter, NH, Bert Connolly and his wife, Kathy of Beverly, Robert Connolly of Nashua, NH, Michael Connolly and his wife, Joan of Idaho Falls, ID; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Louise Hamilton of Beverly; sister-in-law, Debbie Ward and her husband, Greg of Manchester-by-the-Sea; brother-in-law, Bobby Hamilton and his wife, Jeannette of Beverly and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 12 noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 – 12 noon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215 or to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. #9, Lawrence, MA 01843. Interment will be held in the Central Cemetery, Beverly.
