DUDLEY – Jennie J. (Rybacki) Norowski, 90, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 in Southbridge Nursing &
Rehab Center. Her husband of 50 years, Andrew J. Norowski, died in 1996.
She leaves a son, James A. Norowski and his wife Elaine E. Norowski and their children Benjamin, Aaron and Rebecca, all of Dudley; a daughter. Christine E. Bernier and her husband Richard C. Bernier of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and their son Jeff Bernier and his wife Anne of Duxbury and their children Jack, Luke and Alex; a sister, Irene Bombardier of Webster; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Bernier, and by her 2 brothers, John “Jay” Rybacki and Francis Rybacki.
She was born in Dudley, the daughter of Christy and Antonia (Bojin) Rybacki and lived in Webster most of her life. She moved to Dudley in 2003 and then to Southbridge in 2008. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1940.
Mrs. Norowski was an assembler at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for over 20 years. She was then a nurse’s aide at Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center in Webster for 10 years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church. She was a member and former president of the PAV Women’s Auxiliary and she also belonged to the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club. She was an avid sports fan.
Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Southbridge Nursing & Rehab Center, especially those who work on the 2nd floor, for their excellent care for Jennie in the last 4 years.
The funeral will be held Friday, December 28, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 27, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
