Frank J. Fazio died peacefully on December 22, 2012 after 96 wonderful years of life and love. Married for 69 year to Mary N. (Pellegrino), he was the father of John C. Fazio and his wife Lisa and daughter Francine F. Townsend and husband Paul. Proudly survived by grandsons Frank and John Townsend and families and granddaughters Dena, Athena, and Emma Fazio as well as 4 great grandchildren: Elena, Frank, Mary and Eleanor. Brother of Charles Fazio and his wife Viola of FL and the late Catherine Baglione and Philip Fazio. Frank was a founding member of the Carl Frank’s orchestra and performed at many weddings and happy events from the 40’s to 60’s. He also became one of the youngest instructors at the trade school for Barbers in New Jersey. Frank founded the Frank J Fazio House on Nantasket Beach, received a special commendation awarded by Governor Dukakis for taking in 60 people during the blizzard of ‘78, and later developed the property into Sandcastle Condominiums. Frank was a disabled Veteran of WWII and later worked for the State of MA as a Health Inspector.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29 at 10am in St. Ann’s Church, Hull. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. The family will gather at the church on Saturday at 9:15 am prior to the mass to greet visitors. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery.
