Obituary

SALEM - Jane J. (Kurkowska) Davidowicz, 97, of Salem, wife of the late Stephen P. Davidowicz, Sr., died Saturday evening, December 8, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anastasia (Routkowski) Kurkowski.

Mrs Davidowicz is survived by three daughters, Joan, Nancy and Dorothy Davidowicz, one son, Stephen P. Davidowicz, Jr., grandchildren, Robert, Todd and Stephen Cummings, Jane Watson, Valerie Flaherty, Danielle Ledoux-Serino, R. Andre Ledoux, Jr., Brianne and Stephen P. Davidowicz, III, and Daher Ann Spriggs; great grandchildren, Alicia, James, Rebecca Cummings, Jessica and Jenna Watson, Kaitlin and Shamus Flaherty, Maia and Stephen Cummings, Jr., Augustin Serino, Mary-Lyn Ledoux, Cole and Odin Spriggs. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Josephine Kurkowski and Helen Symbarski. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Davidowicz, sister, Alice Kurkowska and brothers, Alphonse Kurkowski and Henry Symbarski, and Alice Kurkowski, her mother that raised her from infancy.

A lifelong resident of Salem, she was a communicant of the St. John The Baptist Church and a founding member of the Mothers of Twins Club.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 10 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am at the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 4 to 8 pm. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. For those who desire, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
