Rosalina Dalapa, age 63 years, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joao Dalapa. Loved mother of Paul Lapa, his wife Anna, of New Bedford, Sandra Dalapa, her fiancee Salvatore Lucido, of New Bedford and Diana Dalapa Young, wife of Martin, of New Bedford. She also had 5 brothers: Manuel and Norberto Serpa both of Azores, Portugal; the late Fernando Serpa, the late Paul Serpa and the late Daniel Serpa and 3 sisters: Julie, Herberta and Marietta. Rosalina is survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dalapa was a daughter of the late Julieta (Soares) and the late Antonio Serpa. She was born in Pico, Azores Portugal. Rosalina moved to the United States in 1979 and has lived in New Bedford since 1986. Mrs. Dalapa was formerly employed at Mt Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Ma.

Mrs. Dalapa’s funeral will be Wednesday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. A Religious service will begin at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
