Paul B. Thomas age 87 formerly of Canton & Westport of Walpole passed away October 19th at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. Born in Clayton, NY,and grew up in Clayton, NY, he graduated from Duke University and graduated from the US Naval Post Graduate School. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1963 during WW II and the Korean War and retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 1963. After retiring from the Navy he worked for Kaye Instruments in Bedford retiring as a Vice president. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite (Rogers). Father of David Thomas of Canton, Jeanne Thomas of Weymouth and the late Paul “Bud” Thomas. Father in law of Cynthia Thomas of Canton. Grandfather of Michael , Christopher & Katherine Thomas, Holly Johnson & Heather Souza. Brother of the late Norma Barnes, Russell, James & Theodore Thomas. Also survived by many nieces & nephews including Susan Sullivan of Clayton, NY. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4- 8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Tuesday morning at 10. Interment Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
