Richard A. Romanelli, 75

Richard A. Romanelli, 75, of Norton, formerly of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
Born in Canton, MA on June 7, 1937, he was a loving son of the late Dominic and Iris (Mazzarini) Romanelli.
He grew up in Canton and attended St. Johns parochial school. His family later moved to Worcester where he finished his education. He served his country as a member of the National Guard for eight years.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Romanelli worked as a parts delivery driver and as a warehouseman for Certifit Auto Body Parts in Randolph for 5 years.
A resident of Norton for the past 16 years, he had formerly resided in Stoughton for over 30 years. He was an active member of American Legion Post 106 in Sharon.
Richard loved the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, boating and target shooting at the Easton Rod and Gun Club. When younger he was an active bowler.
He was the devoted brother of Paul Romanelli of Norton, Rita Pagels of Attleboro, Joseph Miller of Middleboro, William Miller of East Falmouth, Elizabeth Pietro of Stoughton, Bruce Miller of Plymouth and the late Allen Miller. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
At the request of his family funeral services will be held privately with burial to take place in the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton.
