Shirley M. (Alzapiedi) Rocheleau, 77, of Hudson, died Thursday, Sept. 13th at Wingate at Sudbury surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Harold Rocheleau who died in 2006.
Shirley was born in Marlboro and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Angelo and Lillian (Welch) Alzapiedi. She was a life long resident of Hudson where she attended local schools and was a 1953 graduate of Hudson High School. Shirley spent many years as a waitress at the 99 Restaurant in Sudbury until her retirement. She enjoyed spending her winter months at her residence in Florida.
She is survived by her children, David J. Rocheleau and his wife Elizabeth of Boxborough, Joseph A. Rocheleau of Natick and Diane Ghize and her husband David of Hudson. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Michael Rocheleau, Ryann, Danielle and Katie Rocheleau and their mother Rhonda Rocheleau, Kyle, Mackenzie and Julia Rocheleau and their mother Stephanie Scholl, Wyatt and Morghan Ghize and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Alzapiedi of Sudbury and Mary Alzapiedi of Marlboro.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 17th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial services will be held at a later date in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
