McCarthy, Christopher R. in Quincy formerly of Needham August 25, 2012. Loving son of Richard E. McCarthy (Ret. Det. BPD) of Quincy and Sally (McCormack) McCarthy of Needham. Devoted brother of John R. McCarthy of Minneapolis, MN and Elena R. McCarthy of Quincy. Grandson of Rita McCormack of Brighton. Nephew of Judy McGhee, Margot Casey, Michael and Peter McCormack. Uncle of Hazel and Samuel McCarthy. Also survived by several cousins.
Chris was the valedictory speaker for his graduating high school class in 2005 from Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth, RI. He was captain of his cross country, hockey and track teams his senior year. Graduate of Wentworth Class of 2011 and member of Babson MBA Class of 2014. Late volunteer Habitat for Humanity.
