Devoted father of Antonio “Tony” Raposo and his wife Carma of Reading, Maria Teresa Raposo of Stoneham, Helder Raposo and his wife Eulalia “Lola” of Lowell, Adelia “Adel” Hunter and her husband Cory of Salem, NH. Cherished grandfather of Kimberly Raposo, Helder Raposo. Step grandfather of Valerio Ormonde and his wife Kristen, Nicole Hunter, Natasha Desaavedra and Scarlet Desaavedra. Joao loved soccer and fishing on rocks. He supported 2 soccer teams, Benfica and Santa Clara. He loved boating. Joao came to America on April 27, 1973. Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Joao’s Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am.
