Patrica T. “Teechee” (Serode) Russell, 56, of Attleboro, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, in the comfort of her home, on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
Born in Malden, MA on January 12, 1956, she was a loving daughter of Pauline A. (Cabral) Serode of Rochester, NH and the late Arthur V. Serode.
Pat grew up in Norton and was a graduate of Norton High School. For 26 years, she had worked as a Para Professional in the Attleboro public school system.
A resident of Attleboro for the past 38 years, she attended St. Joseph’s Church in Attleboro. Pat loved spending time with family and friends, especially with her adoring grandsons who affectionately call her nana.
An avid motorcyclist, Pat enjoyed the ocean and trips taken to Cape Cod. She was a very loving and caring person who always had a big smile on her face, and could always be counted on to lend others a helping hand.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Tricia J. Viveiros and her husband Michael of Attleboro. The dear sister of Arthur P. Serode of Winter Haven, Florida, Michael J. Serode of Pembroke, R. James Serode and his wife Cathy of Norton and the late Paula A. Jean who passed away in September of 2011, she is also survived by her cherished grandsons: Jackson Viveiros and Gavin Viveiros both her Attleboro, her best friend Jacqueline DaSilva of Attleboro, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Monday, June 25th at 10:30 A.M. in St. Joseph’s Church, 208 Main St., Attleboro. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 24th from 4-7 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
In lieu of flowers, Pat’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) ,383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 www.themmrf.org
