Salem: Lorraine C. (Stacey) Barker, age 84 of Salem, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Oxford, MA, she was the daughter of the late William and Angelina (Riel) Stacey. She had a varied work career. Lorraine first worked for New England Telephone in the accounting department and at one time worked for NASCAP as an office assistant. She also waitressed part time for the Barnacle Restaurant and for Spraycliff Restaurant both of Marblehead. In retail, she worked for Stow-Away Sweets and Steves’s Market. Lorraine worked in housekeeping for the Essex Institute of Salem. She later received a diploma in home and personal care and as a result, her last 15 years of employment were for North Shore Elder Services.
She is survived by her son, Bil L. Barker of Salem, 2 daughters, Penny Claire McKay of Salem, Nicole Lyn Barker of Beverly, 3 grandchildren, Annie C. Bourque, Jonathan L. Smith, Joshua D Weston as well as a great-grandson, Brendon Smith and a dear friend Napoleon J. Gagnon. She was wife of the late Bruce Barker.
