Obituary

WORCESTER-Albin R. Glavickas, 88, of Worcester died Friday, March 30th in St. Vincent Hospital. His wife of 57 years, Genevieve T. (Howard) Glavickas died in 2007. He leaves his daughter, Robin L. Glavickas with whom he lived; two grandsons, James Glavickas of Worcester and Adam McNerney and his mother, Betsy of Manlius, NY; a sister in law, Florence Sullivan of Westborough; his extended family and cousins. A son, Philip M. Glavickas, predeceased him in 1994.
Albin was born in Worcester, the son of Rokas and Pauline Glavickas. He graduated from the former High School of Commerce in 1942 and received an Associate’s Degree from Becker College. Mr. Glavickas was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He was self employed at Albin R. Glavickas, CPA, Accounting. Albin was a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post 435 and a longtime member of St. John’s Church. He was very proud of his Lithuanian heritage.
The funeral is Tuesday, April 3rd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, April 2nd from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
