Rutstein, Howard 56, of Everett passed away on March 22, 2012. Howard was born in Boston and raised in Everett. He attended the Everett School System and was a graduate of Everett High School. Howard was also a graduate of both Kent State and Boston University. He was a very avid runner. He ran the Boston Marathon twice and the New York City Marathon once. Howard was a long time teacher in the Everett Schools.
Howard was the beloved father of Lauren Owen and her husband Jeffrey and Lindsay Rutstein. He was the loving son of Dorothy Rutstein and the late Oscar “Blackie” Rutstein.
Services will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance will be held at the he of Dorothy Rutstein following the interment and on Tuesday ad Wednesday. Donations in his memory may be made to the Howard B. Rutstein Scholarship Foundation, C/o Everett High School 100 Elm St. Everett, MA 02149.
