Ernest N. Perry, Jr.
Retired member of Carpenters Union Local # 111

LOWELL: Ernest N. "Stretch" Perry, Jr. age 77, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
Born in Lowell on May 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Ernest N. Perry, Sr. and the late Adrienne (DeSmet) Perry.
After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked for over 40 years as a carpenter for Carpenter's Union Local # 111 of Methuen until his retirement in 1992.
Stretch was an active member of the U.S. Bunting & Cricket Club of Lowell for over 60 years and considered to be one of the most longstanding members.
"He was a giving, honest, and well respected man throughout Lowell, a great father, loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed."
Mr. Perry is survived by three sons, Tommy, Sean and Kirk; two daughters, Karen and Kristine; ten grandchildren; four sisters, Irene Nuttall, Anna Aufiero, Helen Desrosier and Lillian Lemire; one brother, Edmund Perry; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Calling hours on Sunday, March 25, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. At the request of Stretch funeral services will be private. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
