Obituary

Elizabeth F. (Townsend) Sirois, 92, a longtime Danvers resident, passed away at Merrivista in Haverhill on Thursday, March 22, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Eli Sirois, with whom she shared fifty-six years of marriage.

While raising five children, she worked at Vic’s Bakery and Vic’s Catering Services. For many years, Betty was a devoted member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Henry A. Sullivan #584, holding various local and state offices.

She enjoyed ballroom dancing, reading, bingo, and traveling.

Betty is survived by five children and their spouses, Peter and Kathy Sirois of Omak, WA, Rose and Daniel White of Ipswich, Frances and Edward Hogan of Haverhill, David and Mary Ann Sirois of Newburyport, and Paul and Doris Sirois of Freedom, NH. She was also the proud grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 7. She was predeceased by a grandson, Edward Hogan, and a great-granddaughter, Elayna Sirois.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
