Jeremias Ferreira, age 86 of Fall River passed away March 21, 2012. Born in Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of Urania (Correia) Ferreira and son of the late Jacinto and Rosa (Estrela) Ferreira. He was a mason and carpenter and he retired from the maintenance department of the Foxboro Co. Jeremias was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church.
Besides his wife he leaves 8 children: Antonio Ferreira and Jeremias Ferreira Jr. of Fall River, Jose Ferreira of Canada, Louis Ferreira, Maria Carlos, Sara Batista, Lucia Ferreira and Ana Furtado of Fall River. He also leaves 23 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He had several late siblings.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St., Fall River SATURDAY at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours FRIDAY 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com
