TAUNTON – Thomas Paiva, husband of the late Maria (Silva Carreiro) Paiva of Taunton, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on March 19, 2012.
He was 87.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Thomas and Maria (Raulino) Paiva.
A retired factory worker, Mr. Paiva was raised and educated in the Azores, before moving back to the Taunton area in 1960.
He was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
He enjoyed praying the Rosary and spending time with his family.
Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Rodrigues and her husband Antonio of Raynham; four grandchildren, Jennifer Aguiar and Danny Carreiro, both of Taunton, Sarah and Amanda Rodrigues, both of Raynham; and three great grandchildren.
He was also the father of the late Lucy Carreiro.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, March 22nd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 21st at 5 to 8 p.m.
