FLANAGAN, Beatrice W. “Auntie Bea”, of Malden, formerly of East Boston, Medford and Somerville on March 9. 2012. Born in East Boston on June 2, 1920, she was the beloved daughter of the late Nicholas and Delia (Costello) Flanagan. Devoted sister of Joseph Flanagan and his late wife Irene of Longmeadow, MA, Catherine Douglass and her late husband John of Winthrop, and the late Alice Fitzpatrick and her late husband Frank “Uncle Fitzie”. Loved and cherished by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and a recent great grand nephew. A visiting hour will be held at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Saturday March 24, between 9-10am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Internment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Beatrice was a graduate of Fr.Fitton High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years at American Mutual Insurance Co. in Wakefield.
