New Bedford- Lillian Perry, age 82, passed away peacefully, Saturday February 25, 2012 at Southeastern Massachusetts Health and Rehab Center. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Perry of New Bedford. Her loved daughter Debra Morris and her husband David of New Bedford, Lillian was the loving grandmother of Scott Morris and his wife Michelle, Jessica Pacheco and her husband Barry and Ashley Morris and her Fiance Jason Fredette. Lillian was the great grandmother of Peyton and Paige Morris and Adyson Pacheco,. Lillian was the sister of Nora Costa and her husband Joseph, Dorothy Harkins and her husband George, David Arruda and his wife Joyce , Manuel Arruda and his wife Diane, and Geraldine DeMello and her husband John all of New Bedford, she was the sister of the late Alice Wagner and Eileen Caton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Born in New Bedford the daughter of the late Mariana (Medeiros) and Manuel Arruda, she lived in New Bedford all her life. . Lillian enjoyed doing crafts, and making Wedding Cakes for family and friends. She loved attending Naval Reunions with Ray as well as countless weekends on Nauset Beach. Lillian was also a life member of the Massachusetts Beach Buggy Association.
Mrs. Perry’s Celebration of life with her ashes present will be Wednesday March 21, 2012 from 5-8 P.M. Religious Service will be celebrated during visiting hours. Relatives and friends are invited. Arrangements are by Perry Funeral Home.
