Obituary

Marie was born in Lawrence MA on October 8, 1936.
She worked at Lucent Technologies (formally Western Electric) for 35 years and after retirement was employed by the Holy Family Hospital for many years.
Known as “Auntie Marie” to most everyone, Marie was an avid seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She made several quilts for everyone in her family over the years. Whenever one of her nieces or nephews would have a child, they always got a special quilt from Auntie Marie. The thing she enjoyed the most in her life was spending quality time with her very large family. She always took care of her family throughout the years and devoted her life to them. Her greatest joy for the past 13 years was taking care of and spending time with her nephew Anthony Polcari. They had a very special relationship and he brought so much happiness to her life. Their favorite things to do were eating at Friendly’s and shopping at Walmart. She also enjoyed going to Foxwoods with her brothers Tim and Frank and attending plays with her sister-in-law Janice Donahue in Laconia NH. Marie was the matriarch of her family and will be very sadly missed by all that loved her.
She is survived by her brothers, Daniel Donahue and his wife Janice of Laconia NH, Thomas Donahue and his wife Ginny of Lawrence MA, and Frank Donahue of Methuen MA. Her niece’s Judie (Ferraro) Parker and her husband David, her Godchild Colleen (Donahue) Paris and her husband Jeff. 11 other nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great niece.
She is predeceased by her parents Timothy and Marjorie (Louzon) Donahue, her brothers Redd Donahue and Timothy Donahue, her sisters Joanne (Donahue) Noone and Katie (Donahue) Parolisi and her nephew Michael Noone.
