Obituary

Harriet G. “Billie” Blanchard, age 91, of Framingham, formerly of Natick, died on Friday morning, January 20, 2012, at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick.

Born in Calais, Maine, she was one of twelve children born to the late Hiram and Clara Ellen (Cross) Cochran. Billie was raised in Codyville and educated in Princeton, Maine. After graduation she made her way to Natick where she worked in food services at Wellesley College. She married Raymond Blanchard on April 5, 1941.

After having lived a few years in Princeton, the Blanchards made their home in Natick. Billie was devoted to her faith and enjoyed playing piano at the West Natick Chapel for many years. She later joined the South Middlesex Baptist Church in Framingham where she again shared her musical talents. She was also a longtime volunteer at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick and looked forward to summers spent in Maine. .

Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Ann R. Clark and husband Alfred of Framingham; a son, Gordon L. Blanchard and wife Eloise of Townsend; six grandchildren, Scott and wife Leah, Timothy and wife Kerry, Kyle and wife Julie, Jason, Julie and husband Felix, and Jennie; four great-grandchildren, Alisha, Devon, Oeghan, and Ciara; and a large extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held at the South Middlesex Baptist Church, 86 Bridges Street Ext., Framingham, on Monday, Jan. 23rd at 11:00a.m. Burial will be at Codyville Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours will be in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, today, Jan. 22nd, 3 – 5p.m.
