Evans, GA – Mr. James Calvin Peavy, 88, husband of 58 years to the late Mrs. Norma Louise Peavy, entered into rest on Friday, January 20, 2012 at his daughter’s residence surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Reverend Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
Surviviors include his daughter, Linda P. Rhodes and son-in-law, Marc A. Rhodes of Evans, GA; two grandchildren, Marc Andrew Rhodes, Jr. and Haley Holliman Rhodes as well as four nieces.
A native of Lakeland, FL., Mr. Peavy was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta. He was a veteran of the United States Navy with active service during World War II. Mr. Peavy retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base as a Senior Logistics Specialist. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6126; the American Legion, Post 24; and the Masonic Lodge of Freemasonary #35.
