Ruth E. Boudreau, age 90, of Tewksbury and a former Wilmington resident for many years passed away in her home with her loving family at her side on January 4th. Born in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Ethylbert and Nellie (Wright) Kempton.

Ruth was raised and educated in Somerville and was a member of the 1939 graduating class of Somerville High School. Prior to her retirement she worked for many years at the former Bedell Brothers Insurance Agency of Wilmington. Ruth was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 136 of Wilmington, the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and for many years enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Single Squares Square Dance Club of Woburn. In her leisure time she liked to knit and frequently enjoyed playing bingo with friends. Ruth was mostly devoted to her family and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Francine Lusardi of Weare, NH, Beverley Smith of Salem, NH, Marilyn Lane of Andover, Lorraine Hallisey of So. Yarmouth, Virginia Mirisola and her husband Thomas of Tewksbury. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Cynthia Boudreau of Norton, MA, and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Grace Quinlan of Jacksonville, NC and Gladys DeMone of Somerville.

In addition to her late parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her sons, Raymond and Joseph Boudreau, Son-in-law Russell Smith, and her sister, Eleanor Jones.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Saturday, January 7th, at 1:30 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
