CONDOLENCES (GuestBook)

Salem, MA,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Tardiff's passing. My deepest condolences to his family. My mother and grandmother brought me to his cellar aviary when I was a little girl, and I'll never forget how awed I was at the site of tiny little budgies in their nest, or at the sheer volume of puffed chest show birds in his flying cage. We purchased more than one bird from him over the years, and his parakeets were the most gorgeous ones I ever had. This man really and truly loved his parakeets. Thank you so much, Mr. Bird Man, for the tour and for the little feathered friends you provided. I'll never forget you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's nice to see that my kindergarden teacher's beloved husband lived a good long life. My sixth grade teacher's Dad was quite a nice man. Again, my condolences. Paula M. Caron

August 7, 2008 Pepere, you have finally gone to be with Rita. Wow, almost 97 years old. Our family will miss you. We will always think of you when we eat chinese food or fried shrimp (your favorites) even boston cream doughnuts! We are so grateful that Kyla got to know her great grandfather and had so much fun teasing him. May you rest in peace. We love you and will miss you. Jerry and Linda (son and daughter-in-law)

August 10, 2008 Dear Frank/Pepere: Thank you for all the wonderful memories which we will cherish forever. You have been a second father to me and a grandfather to our children and we will miss you with each passing day. Thank you, too, for allowing me to spend countless hours with you when you were raising birds and for putting up with all my questions. I have learned so much about birds and life from you and for that I am eternally grateful. Sleep in the peace of God and tell Mimi that we love and miss her too. August 9, 2008 Pepere, You were my second father. You taught me how to feed baby birds from an eye dropper. You taught me to drive. You talked my mom into letting me have a BB gun. You watched my sister and I through endless nights spent at Story Street with the sweet sound of parakeets murmuring in the basement.Though I can't stop sobbing at losing you...I know now, that you are back with Memere and that your suffering has ended. Be in peace and know that I will revere you for the rest of my life. Through trying times, you stuck by me and you always believed in me. You served your country voluntarily, leaving your family behind for five years. You were truly one of a kind. There is a hole in my heart that will not be easily mended. Tell Mimi i said I love her and I miss you both so much it's hard to wrap my brain around living in this world without you. You helped make me the man that I am. I am forever in your debt. The city of salem, your friends and family and the world at large has lost a valuable resource. I thank god that I was able to be with you in your final days. I thank god I was able to say, "I love you". Forever in my heart and prayers. I love you, Pepere. Broken-Hearted, Your grandson Gregory Francis Gregory Francis Tardiff (Salem, MA) Contact me
