Laurette Laplante 94, died Friday at the Friendly Home . She lived most of her life in Bellingham and Woonsocket. Mrs. Laplante was the wife of the late Rene Laplante. She was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Isaie and Josephine (Girard) Robert. Mrs. Laplante worked for the former Miller Electric Co. for ten years and the French Worsted Co. for nineteen years. She was a former member of the St. Louis, St. Joseph, and St. Joan Senior Citizens Clubs.
Mrs. Laplante is survived by a sister Della Desmarais of CT, five grandchildren, Melissa Richardson, Heather Plante, Jordon, Ryan, and Amber Laplante, and three great grandchildren, Johnathan, Kendra, and Maria. She was predeceased by a son Donald Laplante, a daughter Vivianne Normandin, three brothers Fortunate, Lucien, and Gaston Robert and a sister Paula Lacouture.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 6-8 PM.
