Obituary

Anthony A. Carpenito, a 24 year resident of Methuen and formerly of Wakefied, entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill following an extended illness. He was 86 years old.

Anthony was born in Medford on November 18, 1926, a son of the late John Carpenito and Rose (Carpenito) Carpenito. He grew up in Medford where he attended the Medford Public School system. He enlisted into the United States Army on September 26, 1950 and served his country proudly and honorably during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on September 3, 1952 with the rank of Sergeant. Anthony worked as a carpenter for many years and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local # 33 for over 40 years. He enjoyed gardening and maintaining his home and fishing.

Anthony is the beloved husband of 26 years to Liniana L. (Trombetta) Carpenito. He is the devoted father of Rose Carpenito of North Reading, Joseph Carpenito of Peabody, Nick Palmitesta and his wife Sandra of North Reading and Connie Nekoroski and her husband Rick of Middleston. He is the loving Papa to Anthony, Stephen, Cameron, Hannah, Mitchell and Whitney. He is the beloved brother of Edward Carpenito and his wife Connie of Stoneham, the late George Carpenito and his surviving wife Terry, the late Philip Carpenito and his surviving wife Ellie, the late Patrick Carpenito and his late wife Betty and the late John Carpenito and his survivg wife Josephine. He is also the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anthony's Funeral on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 8:45 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Wakefield/Melrose line followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Avenue, Wakefield at 10 A.M. Interment at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visiting hours are on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
