I'm so sorry to hear of Florence's passing. She was such a wonderful member of our housekeeping staff at Wheaton for most of the time that I served as Dean of Students. Whenever we met, Florence always had stories of "her students" in her residence halls and on several occasions she alerted us to a troubled student in need of help. She was always there at Commencement to send her students on their way. Her contributions to Wheaton went far beyond her daily work. She was an important member of the Wheaton family.
