Jacquie and I send our condolences to all of the O'Malley family and to Louise. I met Bernie when we were sophomores at Coyle High and we both went to Stonehill together. He was always a considerate, dependable friend and I treasured his companionship. We stayed in touch over the years, at reunions and by at least an annual phone call. We jousted about politics but enjoyed the exchanges. He cared deeply about his family, and was always proud of them.

Dear O'Malley Family, Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear Dad and Grandpa. Bernie was a kind, caring person who was the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. He loved his family so much. You have had a lot to deal with losing so many of your loved ones in such a short time. Thinking about all of you and keeping you in our prayers. Love, Colleen & Paul and Family

Bernie was my landlord for 3 years in the early 90's. I had my business (Mansfield Video Productions) in the same building right next door to his office. He was a firm and considerate man. And when I had a heart attack in 1992, I was greeted to a big basket of fruit from him and his family. My deepest condolences to the O'Malley family.

I've just learned of your father's passing. I am very sorry for your loss. I met Bernie a number of times at St. John's in Sandwich when he was visiting with Louise. He was a lovely, kind gentleman who possessed that Irish twinkle-in-the-eye that allows one to find humor in life's most mundane events. I am sure he will be very missed.

So sorry to hear about Bernie's passing so long after the fact. He was my AA sponsor back in the '80s and beyond and was instrumental in my development. It could be said that the success of that was in part the reason for why it became more difficult to keep in touch after a while -- so busy with 28 years of marriage, raising two well-adjusted children now in adulthood, commuting long distance to work, not to mention 36 years of sobriety. And each time we changed houses it was always further south of Mansfield. But I'm retired now and have Bernie to thank for much of what has transpired over the years. God bless.

I will never forget his kindness and the love he had for his family and friends and the twinkle in his eye. He was such a giving person. I was truly blessed to know him. I'm so very sorry to have just found out now about his passing. I'm very sorry for his loving family who were so dear to him.
