Dear Avery and Bryan, I just want to let you know how heartbroken we all are--LJ was such a special part of the Modem family and a tremendous friend to us all. A lot of tears and laughter have been shed and shared the last few days as news has reached us. We wanted you and your family to know that she was a very special part of our family and our collective world is a little more sad and lonely today. We all loved your mom very much and she will be forever a part of our hearts and thoughts. We will keep all of you, and Linda, in our thoughts and prayers. -Bob

One of the brightest lights I've ever had the honor, blessing and privilege to know and love has dimmed. I know she is shining brighter than ever but I will so miss her and love her so so much. She was the best second mom anyone could ever ask for and I'm forever grateful she was such a big part of my life.

To the Collard and Johnson families: My sincere sympathy in the passing of your loved one. I had the pleasure of caring for Linda in her last days and she was a lovely lady. May fond memories of her make you strong and give you comfort in these days. My prayers are with you all.

Regarding Linda Johnson Avery, My wife,Libby, and I are so sorry to hear about your mother's death in the Vermont Standard today. She was a great friend and neighbor and we will miss her dearly. She was probably one of the most out-going people we knew and it was always great when you got invited to her Xmas party on Banister Rd. We were sorry that she moved away a few years ago, but I am sure it was good for you to have her near by as she fought her cancer. You were blessed to have such a great person for a Mom. John & Libby Mcnamara
