My heartfelt condolences go out to the family of Kerin. I played Field Hockey with her on Wednesdays...or rather, I chased her smiling face around on the field hockey field. She was quick and always kind (being new to field hockey, she would often 'be nice' and not steal the ball from me right away...something I appreciated as learning something new at 45 is intimidating.) She is a kind soul, as I know her spirit lives on. Her spirit and courage encouraged me to get back out on the field after some injuries. Kerin was the most beautiful, happy, loving, and positive person I have ever met. As beautiful as she was on the outside, it was her inner self that was stunning. I met her playing field hockey a number of years ago and quickly learned just how special she was. She played with such grace, speed, and agility always with an ever present smile. Her face truly lit up when talking about her family though. She loved being a wife to Steven and mom to McKani and Braedon. She especially loved her time on the Cape with the whole family and looked forward to it every summer. She always had such a positive attitude, even throughout her illness. Kerin will remain an inspiration to me in so many ways and I will miss her so much. Words cannot express how sorry I am for the family's tremendous loss.
