Dear Family, Having lost my dear husband 2 years ago after a long, suffering illness I feel a sense of relief along with the loss for all of you. He is at peace after his long brave struggle. Our Pico community prayed and hoped he would win this battle. In his name I will make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Peace to all of you. Lois Rioles

Dear Janet, Michael and Meghan, I am so very sorry about Richie's passing. I know it's not very comforting to say that he's not struggling anymore and is at peace. I know you will find peace through you family and friends, it's the only sure way! I am sending love and prayers to you and your children. Love Laurel

Rich was one of the nicest, most genuine people I ever had the privilege of working with. We worked together at Prime Computer and he left an indelible mark. I am so sorry to hear of Rich's passing and will hold an image in my heart of him and his warm smile always.

Dear Janet, Michael and Meghan, I am very sorry about Rich's passing. I’m sure you have heard many tributes about your husband and father, but I‘m compelled to offer one more. Rich and I worked together at EMC. He took me under his wing when I first joined the company in 2002 and I had the privilege of working with him for the next 12-1/2 years. Rich was one of the most genuine, funny, and helpful colleagues I’ve ever had the opportunity to work for and with. He was a great manager, and a terrific people person. We had some fun times playing golf on occasion with our colleagues Bob Clouse and Gary Sant. We all worked in the Solutions Group enduring multiple reorganizations and learned to trust and lean on Rich for his clear thinking and approach to getting things done. Both Rich and I took early retirement from EMC at the same time. I remember calling him about a year ago to see how he was doing. He shared with me his health issue but still had his upbeat perspective on life and was very appreciative of being able to spend more time with all of you and his grandchildren. My wife and I live in NC now so I will not be joining the service celebrating Rich’s life tomorrow. Please know however, that I will be thinking of you and Rich and celebrating his life based on the time we knew each other. Rich was a great guy and will be sorely missed by many. My sincere condolences to you. – Doug Emmons
