As the Fire Chief in the Town of Sudbury, I knew Earle through his work at Greenwood and later at the Ed Lyons Company. Earle was a competent professional, but more importantly, always conducted himself with honestly and sincerity. Although we had a business relationship, I always enjoyed seeing him and looked forward to our meetings. To his family, please accept my personal condolences and those of the entire Sudbury Fire Department. We will miss him.

Janet, and all the family and friends, condolences on your loss. Even as a 'kid' Earle had such a kind spirit. [And more than 40 years later, I still cannot make a grilled cheese sandwich without thinking of him - lol.] Hugs.

I am sorry that I missed the wake. I knew Earl from Greenwood, I was the master mechanic for the Quincy fire dept, retired now. Earl was always there when we called him for a quote on a job. He loved to talk and he was very good at it. He would explain the needed work to be completed and never did more than what was called for. I called him "Earl the pearl". The fire fighting industry lost a great man. Jim April
