My sympathies go out to Serena's children, and family. I graduated with Serena from Mansfield High, and will remember her as a kind and friendly person. Her brother Marc and I have been good friends since high school, and this comes as quite a shock. My prayers go out to your entire family.

Dearest Family, First we want to let you know that you have our heart-felt sympathy for the passing of your mom, sister, cousin, aunt. Serena was one of the most special ladies I have ever known. She was strong, determined, independent, yet warm, loving, caring, devoted to you all, and one of the most charismatic people that I have met. Serena knew how to enjoy life and God she could be the life of the party and her sense of humor could have us in tears. We know that Serena will always be with you and look out / watching over you all from Heaven. Her spirit was so very strong and that will continue to be with you and live on in each of you. I always admired her and looked forward always to be in her company picking up where we had left off the last time we had seen each other. We are packing the car as I type right now to leave for the airport on a trip to Athens, Greece, and we wish we could be there for you all to support you through this and to share the life of a very special and dear cousin to me, and to honor her life and our friendship. I'll never forget our many conversations when I lived with Aunt Mame and how she bravely tried to teach me to drive a stick shift even when I got stuck on a hill at a red light for 30 mins. Serena believed in determination and she believed in her self and her children and she believed I could get that car off the hill even if we stayed there all day long. She rubbed off on me and I did believe and got us off the hill. Your mom had a way about her like her mom of making you feel completely at ease in their presence, a very rare and special gift. I am so glad we got to spend time together this summer at our family reunion and I Will Miss You Dear Cousin Serena And Never Forget You. XXXXXX Please know that we are there with you all in spirit and that our hearts and minds will be there with you with Much Love, Cousin Steve and Kevin

I was Serena's manager for 10 years at Sturdy Hospital. She was a compassionate hard worker, that left me with many fond memories. I currently work in Chicago and will not be able to attend services. She and your family will be in my prayers this holiest of weeks.

my sympathies to all of Serena's family. I worked with Serena for 15 years at Sturdy memorial hospital. she was a wonderful person who loved her family first and for most. We spend Many evening talking about our children who were all around the same ages. She was Always passionate about everything she did. I missed her very much when she left sturdy . We would catch up from time to time and she would always glow about all you kids and now grandchildren . I know that your mom will always walk with you all side by side until you meet again. So very sorry for our loss of Serena's .

Serena , you will be missed for sure. We worked together right from when you were a student to the end when you left 20 years or so,and we also had a lot of fun. You were a friend. You even lived in my upstairs apartment for a while. To your family , I am so sorry for your loss, but I am sure she is in no pain now and at peace. It is so sad to see someone go at a young age which is may say so young. We shared a lot of fun stories over the years with fun times too and you never judged me and I of you. That is a true friend at heart. May your family find peace in the days and weeks ahead with telling the great stories they remember of you so you will live on in their hearts. Peace be with you all Sharon Champagne
