I was truly saddened to hear of the loss of Aunt Ethel. She will always be remembered as a smiling, loving Aunt that was genuinely kind to a fault. My memories of Aunt Ethel quickly bring me back to a wonderful era with my grandmother Helen Sunderland (her sister), my dad, mom (Earl & Edith) with family gatherings to her home and pool in Mansfield. My heart goes out to all the family during this difficult time. God Bless.

To my dear Godmother, I will remember you with love, and especially of all the good times I had growing up with you, Uncle Roland, and our Mansfield cousins. You were always so kind to me, and I will treasure the many times we visited you and Uncle Roland, in Mansfield. When my parents asked, "where do you want to go" my sisters and I would always chime at the same time "Mansfield"! You must know you were Aunt Mabel's (my mom) favorite sibling. To my Mansfield cousins, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

The news that Aunt Ethel has passed from this world fills me with great sadness. So often, one never knows ones' second cousins, but thanks to Ethel, the great Padelford clan has a place in the hearts of us second cousins of the Sunderland branch. To Ethel's grandchildren and great-grandchildren, I want you to know this: you have sprung from rich soil. You stand on the shoulders of giants. So go out and be AMAZING and do it in the name of your grandmother Ethel and your grandfather Roland, those two great people who live in you. Much love, Gail (Sunderland) Tsolirides

Very sad to hear the news over the weekend. Wish we could have attended the services. I have fond memories of my visits as a youngster and her kindness. She lived a long and good life with much love.

I was so saddened to hear the news of Aunt Ethel's passing. I have so many fond memories of summer days at the pool and playing with cousins. I got to visit her in Florida when Earl, Monica and I were there in the fall of 1978 and I thought she lived in paradise because she had a lemon tree that grew lemons the size of small footballs. I will always remember her fabulous laugh and her undeniable spirit. My deepest sympathy for loss of your matriarch.
