My condolences to all in the Dalessio family and especially to a friend, Joey Dalessio. My thoughts are with you during this difficult period. Although I did not know your father personally, your pride in describing him to me shows that his life was not in vain. He has surely passed the best of himself on to his family and friends.

MY FOND MEMORIES ARE UNCOUNTABLE, AS I'M SURE THEY ARE TO ALL OF US.I SPENT A GOOD PART OF THE DAY ON THURSDAY APRIL 5TH, WITH UNCLE JOE AND MOST OF THE FAMILY.IT WAS MY HONOR AND PLEASURE TO SIT AND HOLD UNCLE JOE'S HAND, AND TO SPEND THOSE LAST FEW HOURS,TALKING ABOUT THE THINGS WE CHERRISH, OUR MEMORIES OF OUR YOUTH,THE FUNNY LITTLE THINGS THAT TIME CAN'T TAKE AWAY.I KNOW UNCLE JOE COULD HEAR US,HE DID SAY WHAT SOUNDED LIKE "I LOVE YOU ALL "IN RESPONCE TO ONE OF HIS GRANDCHILDREN SAYING "I LOVE YOU GRANDPA ".WE ALL CRIED OUR EYES OUT ! I WILL MISS HIM WITH ALL MY HEART,BUT HE WILL ALLWAYS BE ALIVE IN MY MEMORIES.UNCLE JOE WE LOVE YOU, BILLY AND RHONDA

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Dalessio Family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Joe. For the last few years I've been thoroughly updated about everything from his his doctor appointments to what silly little thing he and Peggy were "arguing" about that day! Throught all that I can honestly say that I have never seen a more courageous fighter. He suffered through severe pain and discomfort because he loved life and above all he loved his family. Spending every last possible minute with them was unselfishly more important to him than freeing himself from his own personal physical agony. I have the greatest respect and admiration for him because of that. He got to pass peacefully with his family around him just as he deserved and for that I am very happy for him! He should be an inspiration to us all....at the very least, he was to me....

My heartfelt condolences to all the extended Dalessio family. I knew Joe through the MLA, first meeting him having been invited to a meeting at Artery Lock. Joe made me feel included from this day on. In looking back, I can say that I learned a lot from just listening to him. I feel very fortunate to have known this vibrant and dedicated man. The world is a better place because of him........

To Joey and Family, What a terrible loss to you and your loved ones. My heart sank while reading your message as I know the pain of losing a parent and it brought back sad yet fond memories. Joey I remember clearly the loss of my mother and how you were there at my side at her funeral. I am terribly saddened that due to a prior commitment I can not be there for you my dear friend, but believe me when I tell you that though not in body, my arm will be around you every step of the way as you lay your father to rest. I never had the pleasure of meeting him but I am sure he was a great man and his legacy is his children, one in particular who I am proud to call my friend. Love and strength to you Joey D and family Al & Monique Heaney and all your friends at Medeco Canada

Joey and Family, My prayers are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. Your dad was taken home at the same time Jesus was and now he is with him. Although I did not know the rest of your family, I know that you will all miss him very much but that you also know he is in a much better place. His suffering is over and he's happy now. May the Lord bless you all now and in the future. My mom is up there too and I still talk to her every day - it's good therapy. They are always with us - never leave our side. Celebrate his life - sounds like he was a wonderful man and left a wonderful family to do just that - celebrate. Janice
