Dr Perrotta was such a wonderful and generous man. He was such and inspiration, a wonderful dentist who took great pride in taking care of his patients. He inspired me to become a dental hygienist and he will be greatly missed. My sympathies and prayers to his family Love Scott, Cheryl and Abigail Wholley

I knew Nick since Day One at Syracuse. Living next door to him, we became friends immediately. I'll never forget Nick. We studied at Byrd Library - daily - for four years. I can honestly say that without his daily humor and our coffee breaks, I may have never graduated. How do you thank a person for that? To Nick's family; I grieve with you on your loss. May your memories of Nick always be a blessing too all of you. Fare Thee Well, Nick. May The Four Winds blow you safely home.

What a terrible loss. I got to meet Nick a couple of times in person, as we were both advisers for Provia labs/store-a-tooth. When I heard of the problems with his bone marrow search, I got to know him even better, writing a blog about him. What a special guy. My deepest condolences...heres the story I wrote. https://thegracecenturyblog.com/2016/05/19/why-bank-your-stem-cells/

I was one of Dr Perrotta's first patients, the first year he was at Governors Ave I arrived (on time)during a raging blizzard. From that day, every time I was there, he told that story to someone in the office. He was a great guy, and I miss seeing him.My sincerest condolences to the family.

Although I knew Dr. Nick only for a few years thanks to Dr.Levy we had many of laughs about Italian families and spirited banter regarding the Bruins though most of the time I could not, answer him since I was in the dental chair! Witty, charming and a true nice guy I will miss him so. My sympathies to his family! We never lose those we give to God! -St. Augustine

Such a sad loss for everyone! Dr. Perrotta was a special man. I met him when he started his dentist business in Medford, Zero Governor's Ave I believe. He was the nicest guy and was running the whole office himself to get it started! He was a fun loving, charismatic man! My kids loved him which was great. Dentists were not the best in there lived until 'Dr. Piranha'. My son called him this and Dr. Perrotta thought that was cool!! I was, along with my husband, a patient of Dr. Perrotta's until he gave up the dentistry to work on his health issues. He will be dearly missed! Such a wonderful person! Prayers for the entire family and so many friends!! Best, Tricia

Dr. Perrotta was sincerely one of THE best human beings I have ever crossed paths with in my 42yrs. Beyond being a great dentist, he was someone you would look forward to seeing again at your appointment just to catch up, share a bunch of laughs, and compare “Dad” stories with. You didn’t have to interact with him long before it was obvious to you that he was a great husband/father. The type of person you could visit with forever. He could talk about his kids/family/hobbies for hours...and sometimes we did! To the point his assistants would playfully remind him that he needed wrap things up with me and see his other patients! He could hold court about everything from politics, to the Bruins goaltending situation...he was the type of guy that could tell you who hit 5th for the Yankees in game 7 of the 1995 World Series and in the next breath receive your story with wide-eyes, a high brow and a genuine interest in what you had to say. Really just an amazing person. When my wife and I started our own family and eventually moved north to Wilmington we continued to see him at his Medford office! It was a long way to go for a dentist appointment, but there was just no way we were going to stop seeing him! We remain patients there to this day...always asking for him, inquiring on his condition, and one time being lucky enough to bump into him while he’d stopped in for a visit. My heart aches for his family, his close friends, and for anyone that was lucky enough to have known him. Our world was simply better with him in it. I will forever remember Dr. Perrotta for all that he was...without question a first-ballot Hall of Famer in my book. Rest In Peace my dear friend...

Dr. Perrotta was one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege to know. I was a patient of his and a "nervous nelly" when it came to dentists. He never made me feel stupid for being fearful and treated me with respect. I actually looked forward to my appointments. He sure knew how to give a shot of novocaine! I enjoyed talking with about sports and his family. I will truly miss him. He is gone too soon.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Nick. We met through his brother Bob who I used to work with in New York and I became a dental patient as a result. I would like to send my condolences to all of his family. He will be missed.

Dr. Perrotta immediately won me over with his gentle spirit, and good nature. The dental chair is not always the most comfortable spot to be in, as a patient, and he was always positive, attentive, and thorough; safe. Very sad to hear of his passing, and wishing his family peace and comfort.
