I'm a former student, who graduated from BLS in 1987, and I remember Mr Beninati as an affable, able, conscientious, good-humored instructor, whose love of Boston College was legendary. I wish peace and refreshment to his spirit, and consolation to his partner, to his family, and to all his loved ones as they grieve.

Mr. Beninati was an exceptional educator...he was passionate about his teaching and in his overall demeanor. His enthusiasm and good humor were infectious. I was a student at BLS in the 70’s. Forty-odd years later, I remember my teacher fondly, hoping my positive memories of this man bring comfort to his family and friends. I’m fortunate to have known Guy Beninati.

When Nick and I bought “the house” on Hanover Avenue the Beninati’s bumped us to the top of the wait list. That space was the ultimate luxury. The added benefit was the many chats I would have with Guy on all topics from school to travel as well as board meetings. Yes, he was smart and as a neophyte board member I was extremely lucky to learn from him. He and Gilberto cared for his father and then Gilberto lovingly cared for him. Just a few months ago I saw Guy at Stop and Shop with Gilberto and his nephew—the baby I remembered who is now a handsome young man. Guy gave me a smile of recognition. Rest In Peace, Guy—God Bless you, Gilberto Daria
