It is with great sadness that Terry and I write these condolences to the Luongo and Gulla families. Auntie Marie (like all my aunts) was like a second mother to me and my uncles like fathers as well. The dedication and love she showed all us "kids" was truly inspirational and it gave me the model for how a family should be raised. Now she is joined with the love of her life, Uncle Sonny and like Karen reminded me of the other day ... dancing away to Frank Sinatra. All our love to Kenny, Richie, Karen and their families. Comfort and condolences to the entire family. Marie and Sonny proved to be great friends to my Dad towards the end of his life. They never lost track of him -- even when became too ill to attend St. Joseph's regularly. They literally always left room for him in their pew. They visited him wherever he was, and they always had a kind, cheerful word. I will never forget, or stop being grateful for, their many kindnesses, to him -- "just" a friend of theirs from church.
