Severino Biagioni and his late wife Ritarose were wonderful people. I worked in the same plant with him for 12 years. He was my union president and Business Agent during those years. Severino helped establish the first union defined benefit pensions that retirees from the union meat packing houses in Greater Boston still enjoy today. He along with others developed the fringe benefit packages in the industry as well. I learned a lot from him as a labor leader and pursued a career in the union myself . Severino was an inspiration to a lot of people as he was an honest, hard working man and a joy to know. He and Ritarose raised a nice family two of whom I am friends with. Severino and Ritarose will be sadly missed by many people. Jeff Bollen
