Aunt Sue was a blessing, a loving and guiding presence in my childhood and beyond and was a wonderful model both of courage and joy with her ability to live life to the fullest. My condolences to Steve, Mike, Van and Jim and their families at this very sad time. Peter and I are so terribly sorry that we can't be in Water Valley to join you and other Elliott cousins to celebrate Aunt Sue's life and to say our goodbyes in person. With love, Ann Mahon

I am grateful that I experienced Sue's love and kindness, growing up in the neighborhood of Prospect Drive and Leland Ave in Water Valley, MS. Our mothers played canasta together, while we children roamed the neighborhood or played Kick the Can. I often went to Steve's home to play games or to use Sue's beauty shop style hair dryer. When the public pool opened, I remember Sue in her swim suit. I send my condolences to Steve, Mike, Van, and Jim and all their families. They and we were blessed by Sue's love and kindness. May her spirit live on in each of us. May God bless all of you.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing her, but I do have the pleasure of being her son's pastor (Mike). She must have been a wonderful lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Lorene and I are very saddened at the passing of Sue Hedges. We have very fond memories of visiting with her, especially at Evie's HS Graduation. She is a wonderfully blessed woman and I am certain the first words she heard for God were, "My true and faithful servant, welcome home".
